A "New" Elizabeth is on the Horizon

Welcome to the "New" Elizabeth African Methodist Episcopal Church. We are a church determined to make a difference in the lives and community we serve by: “Reaching, Reclaiming and Transforming Lives through the Power of Jesus Christ.” 

We are a traditional Methodist church with a contemporary 21st Century approach to ministry. As a growing congregation it is our mission to reach out to all ages, as we serve together to build a church for the Kingdom of God in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Our church is currently located at the historic Pencader Presbyterian Church at 2303 Glasgow Avenue, Newark, DE 19702.  Our congregation gathers every Sunday morning for Worship and Children’s Sunday School at 9:00am. We look forward to seeing you.  Please contact us anytime!

Our Mission Statement

To reach, reclaim and transform the lives of God’s people by ministering to the whole person: socially, physically and spiritually through the empowerment of the preached Word, worship, evangelism, missions and community service. 

Prayer & Healing Service on Wednesday, January 30th at 7:00pm

Jesus' earthly ministry was marked by His compassion for people. He welcomed the
 hurting, spent time with the downhearted and embraced those in need. Prayer and Healing services are a wonderful opportunity for those in need physically, emotionally or spiritually to come to the One full of compassion and understanding. These are simple but powerful prayer services where the Holy Spirit comes near to touch lives and situations. So if you or a friend is in need, we warmly encourage you to attend this service.
