"Bigger, Better and Greater"

"I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name." Revelation 3:8

Are you disappointed because a door has closed in your life? Did you expect something to come to pass and it didn't and now you're feeling let down? When will things work out for me? Discouraged, disheartened and stuck in a rut, it is sometimes tough to see beyond the closed door. Waiting for God to move mightily in your life is difficult, especially when your desires have not yet been met. It is tempting to give up at the first, second or even the third closed door. But God expects us to persevere until the right open door is made known to us. So, "Do not throw away your confidence, it will be richly rewarded" (Heb. 10:35). You have come too far to quit. Where you are right now is only temporary, it is not where you are going to remain. A closed door doesn't mean that it's over for you. Contrarily, it means that God is getting you ready for something bigger, better and far greater than before!

"Harboring Unforgiveness"

"For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins." Matthew 6:14-15

Unforgiveness is the single most popular poison the enemy uses against God's people, and it is one of the deadliest poisons a person can take spiritually. Unforgiveness makes us sick because we hold onto and keep an account of people’s wrongs against us instead of forgiving them. As we hold onto them, it leads to other diseases such as bitterness, rage and depression. If we nurse old grudges and refuse to let those grudges go, then we are making ourselves sick. In other words, no matter what happened to you, the original wrong was just a wrong. Perhaps it was a serious offense but that is all there was to it, just the single offense. However when you mull over, meditate and consider that offense for a long period of time, it actually grows in size, spiritually speaking! The more time you spend harboring the wrong, the harder it will be to erase it. Do not let the enemies poison of unforgiveness cause you your blessings. It's time to forgive!

"The Crisis of Belief"

"...But he said to them, Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe it." John 20:25

It is only natural for us to doubt at times, because often times seeing is believing. Thomas needed to see the wounds on Jesus before he would believe that Jesus was alive. It is inevitable that we will face a crisis of belief, especially when our faith is tested. When our faith is tested, what is revealed is what you believe about God. Do you have to see a move of God, to believe God's Words are true or do you know without a shadow of a doubt that God is who He says He is? A crisis of belief is not a calamity in your life, but a turning point where you must make a decision. You must decide what you truly believe about God. The way you respond at this turning point will determine whether you will become involved with God in something God-sized that only He can do or whether you will continue to go your own way and miss what He has purposed for your life!
